Marriage Mentor Training
Couples are invited to be trained to become Marriage Mentors that support marriages in your community!
What to expect
Statistically, 20% of marriages are currently "struggling". This can mean a variety of things, yet it always means that couples need support. Counseling isn't always an option, and is frequently hard to access due to full schedules.
Marriage Mentors can fill in the gap. By meeting weekly with another couple, Marriage Mentors can provide tools and teach skills that have a very high success rate of improving marriages.
Who should attend
This training is for anyone that wants to have the tools and skills to help struggling marriages. In one day, you will learn how to ask questions that will help struggling couples get to the heart of their struggles, and put tools into their hands to make improvements.
Attendees may include:
• Marriage ministry leaders
• Young adult ministry leaders
• Lay couples that have a heart for marriage
• Any couple that wants to see marriages revitalized and restored
All trained marriage mentors will receive follow-up support and have access to experienced mentors to help guide them through tricky situations and provide encouragement.
Not Counseling
Marriage Mentoring is NOT counseling, and does not replace the need for a trained professional. All couples seeking marriage mentoring go through a screening process to ensure that they meet criteria for such support. Couples that are experiencing things such as abuse (physical and substance), addiction, etc will be referred to a licensed counselor.
